Paediatric Occupational Therapy
Little Octopus Therapy
Little Octopus Therapy is a mobile paediatric occupational therapy service supporting children from the early years through primary school. I come to the location that best suits your family, whether that's your home, your child's school, daycare, or out in the community, helping children build confidence, independence, and everyday skills through fun, play-based therapy.
Servicing families throughout Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, CBD and Inner West.

What is Occupational Therapy?
Building skills for everyday life
Occupational therapy helps children develop the skills they need to participate in the activities that matter most to them, from getting dressed and playing with friends to managing emotions and learning at school. Through play based, evidence informed support, therapy becomes something children genuinely enjoy while building confidence and independence.

About me
Hi, I'm Cassidy!
I'm a paediatric Occupational Therapist and the founder of Little Octopus Therapy. I grew up in Perth, Western Australia, before making the move to Sydney, and I genuinely can't imagine doing anything other than working with children. Watching kids learn new skills, grow in confidence, and achieve things they once found difficult is what makes me love coming to work every day.
I started Little Octopus Therapy because I wanted to create a service that feels warm, personal, and centred around each child and their family. I know inviting someone into your home or trusting them to work with your child is a big decision, and I never take that responsibility for granted. My goal is to build genuine relationships with families and make therapy something children look forward to each week.
I work with children from the early years through to high school, supporting a wide range of areas including emotional regulation, sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, self care, social skills, executive functioning, play, and everyday routines. Every child is unique, so I tailor each session around their interests, strengths, and goals, because when therapy is meaningful and fun, children are more engaged and confident to learn.
One of the things I'm most passionate about is making therapy fit naturally into a child's everyday life. As a mobile therapist, I come to the location that works best for your family, whether that's home, school, daycare, or out in the community. Working in familiar environments means the skills we practise are more relevant and easier to carry over into daily routines.
I also believe that parents and carers are the most important part of a child's therapy journey. You know your child better than anyone, and I love working alongside families to celebrate the big milestones, support the tricky moments, and share practical strategies that make everyday life just a little bit easier.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my fiancé, family, and friends, keeping active, enjoying Sydney's beaches and cafe's, or dreaming up new games and creative activities to make therapy as engaging and enjoyable as possible.
I'm so excited you're here, and I can't wait to meet you and your little one.
Our approach
At Little Octopus Therapy, we believe in the LOT Way:
Learning. Opportunities. Together.
Every child learns differently, which is why we create meaningful opportunities through play, everyday routines, and real-life experiences. We work alongside families, educators, and children to build confidence, celebrate progress, and achieve goals together.
Areas I help
Support tailored to your child
Every child is unique, and therapy looks different for every family. These are some of the areas I commonly support.
Understanding feelings, managing big emotions, and developing calming strategies.
Supporting children who are over- or under-responsive to sensory input so everyday activities feel more manageable.
Handwriting, pencil grip, cutting, drawing, dressing, and using hands for everyday tasks.
Balance, coordination, strength, running, jumping, climbing, and ball skills.
Building confidence with friendships, turn-taking, communication, and imaginative play.
Dressing, toileting, feeding, brushing teeth, and becoming more independent with daily routines.
Skills children need to feel confident starting school, including attention, following instructions, and classroom participation.
Concentration, organisation, executive functioning, and completing everyday tasks.
Making mornings, bedtime, homework, and other family routines smoother and less stressful.
